Disney Series Status

My Disney paintings have been turning out pretty nice. I decided to get some of the larger ones out of the way while my excitement and energy was still fresh!

I’ve been painting some of my favorite scenes and making them my own, which I always like to do. Here are three I’ve finished so far and some snippets about each one!

For Hercules, I thought it would be cool to paint him flying into the sunset. His parents Zeus and Hara look down on their son from a cloud. The light rays shooting down from the heavens really make this scene what it is. You can even see the sparkle on Herc’s sword. I wanted to keep the colors true to the scene from the film where young Herc is standing on the cliff in the sunset, singing his song.
This painting of Aladdin and Jasmine needed to be MAGICAL! I wanted it to be romantic, soothing and adventurous. The flowers, the bright moon, the ocean far below—I believe all those elements work together to create the perfect mood. I’m glad I could incorporate my seascape theme that is characteristic of my style.
And finally, this large 30×40″ painting needs no introduction. “The Lion King” is my all-time favorite film since I was a young boy and it was an honor and privilege bringing it to life through my art. There is no ocean or beach in this one, the first since I started painting with palette knives, and the rainforest and waterfall create the perfect ambience and backdrop for the characters’ journey.

That’s all I have so far, but I should finish within the next couple of months. I’m so happy I could give you guys a special sneak peak here on my blog. I will be waiting until the whole series is finished before I put them up for sale on my Etsy shop.

And don’t forget to watch my new video on my Youtube channel about handling negative comments from others about your art! It’s an important one.

I hope you have a good night, and until next time,

A Canine in the Studio!

So a couple of months I adopted a toy Chihuahua from the Michigan Humane Society. She was in need of a home, and I happened to have a home to provide. So it really was the perfect match.

She is only 5 pounds, so needless to say she is a little furry gumdrop. She is such a little weirdo but grows on you pretty fast. I named her Star because there is something special about her and she is filled with radiant energy.

Little Star doesn’t like to be in my art studio, so when I am working she will just squeak away incessantly to let her case be known. Or she’ll try to jump up in my lap when I am sitting on my stool at my easel, which of course doesn’t work well.

One time she even tried to jump onto my palette with my paint on it!

It has been an adventure so far having a dog again. Before her I hadn’t had a canine in the studio for seven years.

I have a new video on Youtube that I’m pretty excited about. Check it out when you get the time. It even has NEW background music! Heck yeah, man. You can view the actual painting on my Etsy shop below.

I’m also happy to report that I received 2 sales yesterday¬†on my Etsy shop and have been getting wonderful traffic and interest! So that is very exciting. I know I’m on the right road, I just have to keep on growing my audience and getting more known.

But I shall get there…one sale, video, and blog post at a time!

Greener Scenery!

So my brand new studio is complete. The move went rather smoothly, if I must say. I’m so happy to now have a studio that I’m proud to be in. A place that is an extension of myself and my interests.

Before I reveal the new pictures, here is a picture of my old artistic station.

Yikes! Pretty bland, huh? I won’t beat myself up though, as life is about getting better, right? That is the basis for personal development—GROWTH! That is what I preach in my youtube videos and I like to practice what I preach.

Hence why I chose to finally make my dream studio a reality.

Well, here is the my lovely new studio! Drumroll please……

New Studio 3

New Studio 4

Now THIS is what I’m talking about!

As you can see I decorated my new habitat with a beach theme throughout, which really inspires me to paint the beach even more. I also have some personal development quotes on the wall, as well as some Disney decor. After all, I am a HUGE fan of Disney’s animation studio.

I am really loving my new beachy art studio! If you haven’t watched my interview video on youtube, here you go.

I’m also working to expand my contact list for my monthly newsletter. You can sign up on my website at
