Hello Ariel!

So, I thought I finished Ariel until I realized that her face is a little disfigured! Not to mention the fact that it doesn’t look like her at all. She kind of looks like a red-headed sister of the Keebler elves! Haha.

Hey, don’t judge! I’ve never done a portrait with knives before and I clearly have a lot to learn. But I will get it. I just need to study her face a bit more.

I love the way Ariel’s body turned out though, so I’m off to a good start. It’s no wonder every young boy had a crush on her when the movie was released! I like her hair blowing in the wind, and the crashing foam behind her is going to be pretty epic. I will be wiping off her face and restarting though before I continue on with the rest of the painting!

My next post will be the completed painting, so I’m really excited to see how it all turns out!

Talk to you then,
